Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. recalls some Auman tractors

Recently, Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. submitted a recall report to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China in accordance with the "Regulations on the Administration of Defective Automobile Recall" and decided to recall it from October 20, 2009 to 2010, starting from January 5, 2013. Part of the Auman BJ4253SMFJB-S7 tractors produced on the 30th of January totaled 357 vehicles.


Vehicles involved in this recall range may have loose strength due to the long-term high-temperature and vibration conditions due to the weak strength of the design structure of the exhaust brake butterfly valve connection clamp, resulting in the use of the exhaust brake function due to the clamp connection. Leakage causes a reduction in the exhaust back pressure and affects the retarding effect of the exhaust brake system. Under extreme conditions, when the vehicles carrying more cargo are driving downhill sections, there is a case where the braking force is reduced, and there are hidden safety problems. Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. will take the initiative to contact the owner to inform the relevant situation and replace the new structure of the clamps and the damaged exhaust brake butterfly valve for the vehicles in the recall area free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.
