China Mobile Research Institute completed 5G prototype technology test
Recently, China Mobile Research Institute jointly completed a 5G prototype test technology with Samsung. This test tests and verifies key 3.5GHz low-band technologies, including spatial modulation and new multi-carrier techniques. Specific test metrics include bit error performance, throughput, and out-of-band leakage. This test is designed to fully validate the performance of millimeter-wave technologies including mobility, peak throughput, multi-user scheduling capability, indoor propagation of high-band wireless signals, and penetration characteristics. It is reported that this joint test content also includes support for advanced beamforming features high-frequency 5G prototype system and terminal.
