Ohara Industries, located in Okayama Prefecture, Japan, has developed a new type of waste plastic processing equipment that removes tiny impurities and moisture from waste plastics and produces high-purity recycled plastics from waste plastics.
According to a press release provided by the company, the waste plastic processing facility is characterized by a procedure for removing foreign materials several times. It first grinds and dissolves the waste plastic, filters it to make plastic granules, then uses a vacuum pump to remove impurities and moisture mixed in between the plastic granules. The waste plastic processing equipment finally uses a strong filter to extract residual microscopic impurities.
