Key industry carbon emission verification project started

On September 30, the “Key Technology and Demonstration of Carbon Emissions Verification and Low-Carbon Product Certification and Accreditation in China's Key Industries under International Background” hosted by China Certification and Accreditation Regulatory Commission and organized by Sinochem Joint Certification Co., Ltd. was held in Beijing. Seventeen experts from Tsinghua University, China’s Central Academy of Sciences, National Standards Committee, and Metallurgical Industry Planning Institute attended the project.

Representatives of 7 industries such as power, chemical, building materials, and China Classification Society, etc., on carbon emission verification and the establishment of low-carbon product certification and accreditation systems, carbon emission testing standards, national carbon emission assessment indicators, and how low-carbon work is on the international stage Reported.

The experts evaluated the work of the seven task teams and considered that carbon emissions auditing companies are the basis and cannot avoid the situation of the enterprises but also talk about the industry. It is necessary to study positive experiences as well as negative factors. Some experts believe that the results of the first phase are very important and the second phase should not be repeated. Experts suggest that carbon emission verification should focus on selecting samples, establishing bases, and promoting results.
