Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan announced in mid-September that it will team Shell and ExxonMobil to develop coal liquefaction compressors.
Both Shell and ExxonMobil will build a coal liquefaction oil plant in early 2010 and expect to produce 100,000 barrels per day of oil. Both companies have chosen Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Japan as a partner. To this end, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will invest 10 billion yen in the next two years to expand its compressor production capacity at its Hiroshima plant in Japan, and at the same time develop special compressors so as to be able to compress the oxygen and hydrogen generated during the thermal decomposition of coal. As a leading manufacturer of heavy machinery manufacturers and petrochemical plant compressors, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will develop the world's largest compressor for coal liquefaction.
MTF Linear Motors
Most
linear motors currently available on the market have magnets in the linear
track, with coils in the moving forcer.
Seidal magnet-free-track linear motor is based on the principles of magnetic field theory, no need permanent magnets anymore. This can save on large amounts of rare-earth materials. Most importantly,it can save around 70% cost, particularly on long track linear motors.
