Nissan raises the price of domestic commercial vehicles by 1 to 3% from October 1st

Nissan Motor announced on August 29 that it will increase the prices of six commercial vehicles such as minivans and small trucks in Japan from October 1. The rate of increase is 30,000 to 70,000 yen per vehicle (1 to 3%). Affected by soaring prices of raw materials, the company decided to transfer some of its cost growth to the selling price of commercial vehicles that use more steel. However, on the passenger car side, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. will temporarily suspend the price increase for passenger vehicles because Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan’s largest automaker, will restrict price increases to certain models such as hybrids.

This is Nissan’s first increase in commercial vehicle prices since February 1992. For specific gains, the small truck “Atlus H43” (2 tons) is 70,000 yen (1.7%), the commercial van “AD/AD Expert” is 35,000 yen (2.7%), and the “Caravan” is 3 Ten thousand yen (1.6%), "BANETTO" is 50,000 yen (2.9%).

Mazda, which was allegedly supplied by Nissan to commercial van OEMs (OEM), is also "considering" to raise the price of "FAMILIA VAN."
