US auto market in May: Toyota sales fell 33%

In the US auto market, sales of light vehicles (including passenger cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks) declined for the first time in May 2011 since August 2010. In May 2011, Hyundai-Kia Motors’ US sales increased by 34% to 107,400 vehicles. Among them, Hyundai Motor sold 59,200 vehicles, an increase of 21% year-on-year; Kia Motors sold 48,200 vehicles, an increase of 53% over the same period last year.

According to the American car consumption website TrueCar. Com had predicted that Hyundai-Kia’s US sales will exceed Toyota in May, but it has not yet been achieved.
