Yangzi-BASF Phase II Project Construction

On December 10, a large-scale facility was being hoisted on the construction site of Phase II of the Yangtze-BASF project. The Yaba investment in the second phase of the project is about US$1.4 billion. Construction started in September 2009 and it is expected to be put into operation in 2011. The project will increase the annual production of ethylene from 600,000 tons to 740,000 tons. At the same time, ten new downstream product installations and three existing installations will be built.
