Zhejiang encourages private capital to enter the oil and gas sector

In order to further deepen reforms and promote the healthy development of private investment in the energy sector, the Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Provincial Energy Bureau recently formulated the “Opinions on Encouraging and Guiding Nongovernmental Capital Investment in Energy Sector”. The "Implementation Opinions" consists of four parts and twenty articles. Among them, half of the content involves broadening the scope of private capital investment, explicitly encouraging private capital to invest or participate in coal, oil and gas, power grids, power and other energy fields, and create a fair and regulated market environment for private capital. At the same time, Zhejiang Province will also support four aspects: promoting the transformation of private energy companies to modern energy companies, supporting private enterprises in enhancing scientific and technological innovation capabilities, promoting private energy companies to accelerate industrial upgrading, and encouraging private enterprises to implement the “go global” strategy.
