Changchun mold industry "cluster" market

In 2012, China's equipment manufacturing industry fell into the most difficult winter in history, and its growth rate was lower than the total industrial economy for the first time. The mold industry in Changchun, like many equipment manufacturing industries, faces a severe situation.

At the beginning of the new year, at the annual meeting of the Changchun Mold and Die Industry Association in 2013, nearly 100 members of the Changchun Mold and Die Industry Association came together to jointly summarize development experience and plan the development direction under the new situation.

The "Chunchun Mould" brand

Is it "combat alone" or "team combat"? Members of the Changchun Mould and Die Industry Association are well aware of the principle of “ten chopsticks breaking constantly”. As early as five years ago, when the association was established, well-known companies in the industry joined the conference to jointly create the "Chunchun Mould" card.

This strategy has made substantial progress in 2012. Last year, the Association compiled the “Changchun Mould Enterprise Directory”, which not only provided a handle for the exchanges among members, but also became a business card for “Chunchun Mould” going out of the domain. A regional industry group has an extraordinary attraction for any market. "Changchun Mould" relies on the industrial base and prestige of the old industrial base in the northeast, and the influence of the industry cannot be overlooked.

Build an industry financing platform

The mold industry has a long history in Changchun. Changchun’s mold industry is also facing an industry upgrade in the process of Changchun’s industrial transformation and upgrading. The mold industry is hailed as "the mother of industry", and its development rhythm directly affects the development speed of the industrial economy. The good news is that Changchun's mold companies are seeking to transform themselves, and the pace of seeking upgrades is accelerating. Today, many mold companies in Changchun have introduced the most advanced mold processing equipment, testing equipment and CAD/CAE/CAM software at home and abroad. Automobile body molds, rail vehicle body molds, and body welding fixtures are in the leading position in China, and some are internationally advanced. Horizontally connected.

In order to provide a financing platform for Changchun's mold industry upgrade, the Association and Jilin Bank Triumph Branch jointly established a financing service platform to solve the financing problems of member companies. In 2012, the Association had a total of 17 enterprises and obtained credit loans of 42.5 million yuan through joint guarantee loans to help member companies solve the problem of capital turnover difficulties.

Build a talent pool

In order to provide talents and reserve talents for the development of the mold industry, the Changchun Mold and Die Industry Association cooperated with the Changchun Vocational and Technical College to carry out training on mold talents.

High-level management and technical personnel are the mainstay of the company. Technical workers in the workshop are the cornerstone of the company. In order to solve the problems of different levels of talent training and “recruitment difficulties” for skilled workers, the association has established deep-level training cooperation with the Changchun Vocational and Technical College. Through training, a group of serving staff has obtained the national qualification level qualification certificate. In August of last year, more than 20 CNC technicians from Changkai Guokai Mould Co., Ltd. attended the high-skilled training courses organized by the college and 10 of them obtained national technician qualification certificates. The college also regularly provides professional training for repairing electricians, CNC lathes, CNC milling cutters, and mold fitters for its members.

Pursue regional cooperation

In recent years, the Changchun Mould Industry Association has extensively exchanged with the Mold Association of Heilongjiang Province, the Mold Association of Dalian City and the Tooling Mould Association of Shenyang City, deepening the friendship and cooperation among the mold industry in Northeast China. “Inter-regional industrial exchanges are very important. On the one hand, they can learn about the latest industry information and technologies. On the one hand, they can gain insight into market opportunities.” Wang Qinglai, president of the Changchun Mould Industry Association, said that this is of great significance for the long-term development of the Changchun mold industry.

At present, the Changchun Mould Industry Association has reached an agreement with the industry associations in Shenyang and other places to create a mold industry in Northeast China, to give play to the advantages of the three provinces in Northeast China, and to make the mold industry bigger and stronger.

A pragmatic move made members of the Changchun Mould and Die Industry Association taste the sweetness. At present, there are nearly 100 companies registered with the association, and nearly 50 formal members, including mold manufacturing companies and machine tools, cutting tools, schools and other industries related to the mold industry.

The more the merrier. "The next step, the association must also work with the school to establish a 'mould design R & D service platform', to build a public service platform, solve common scientific problems, and accumulate energy for the development of the industry." Changchun Mould Industry Association Secretary-General Han Jianmin told reporters that during the New Year, the association has also drawn up a series of development plans, which lays the members' expectations for the development of the industry.
