In accordance with the key areas and directions defined by the "Decision of the State Council on Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of Strategic Emerging Industries," at this stage, the key directions for the development of high-end equipment manufacturing mainly include aviation equipment, satellites and applications, rail transportation equipment, and marine engineering equipment. Intelligent manufacturing equipment.

In 2010, China’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry achieved sales revenue of about 1.6 trillion yuan, accounting for about 8% of the sales revenue of the equipment manufacturing industry. "Plan" clearly stated that by 2015, the sales revenue of high-end equipment manufacturing industry will exceed 6 trillion yuan, and the proportion in equipment manufacturing industry will increase to 15%. By 2020, the sales revenue of high-end equipment manufacturing industry will be in the equipment manufacturing industry. The proportion has been raised to 25%, and the high-end equipment manufacturing industry has been nurtured as a pillar industry of the national economy.

At present, the endogenous impetus for China's industrial development is not strong, and the main reasons for lagging behind Europe and the United States are: First, the capacity for independent innovation is not strong, and the degree of foreign dependence is relatively high; Second, there is a low degree of industrial concentration and there is a lack of large-scale leading enterprises with international competitiveness; The development of technological equipment is out of line, and the process is integrated with the equipment. The two are more and more integrated together. Fourth, the structure is irrational and the proportion of medium and low-end products is high. Fifth, there is no balance between scale speed, quality and efficiency. The extensive development model of the industry has not yet fundamentally changed.

High-end equipment is the foundation and key to the development of equipment manufacturing. High-end equipment must be used to seize the commanding heights of the economy.
